Bypass

With the DiO bypass, you can eliminate any residual current remaining in the electrical wiring and completely turn off any LED or ECO bulbs that flash or flicker.

Residual current is a very weak current that remains in the electrical circuit after you have turned a lamp off.  Since LED and ECO bulbs consume very little current, they remain slightly lit or flash due to this current. 

Installed in parallel to your lamp, the bypass will absorb this current, allowing the lamp to be switched off completely.

The bypass is also recommended to complement our DiO 1.0 lighting micro-module, which you install behind the existing switch to control your lights remotely, and which slightly increases this residual current effect with low-consumption LED and ECO bulbs.
